You know Easter is here when you see these arriving in the kitchen at work. These little Easter nests are a real treat and we’ve given them a Little’s twist with our Chocolate Orange coffee. Give them a try using our super quick recipe below…
Ingredients (makes 12)
100g milk chocolate
100g dark chocolate
50g unsalted butter
2tbsp Chocolate Orange Little’s instant coffee
2tsp golden syrup
Approx 5 Shredded Wheat, crumbled
36 Mini Eggs (for decoration)
Place paper cases into a cupcake tray.
Dissolve the instant coffee in a dash of boiling water, stir until the granules disappear.
Break the chocolate into pieces and add to a saucepan along with the coffee mixture, butter, syrup and melt over a low heat. Stir regularly and set aside to cool for a few minutes.
Stir about a third of the Shredded Wheat into the melted chocolate mixture and mix really well. Gradually add the rest of the Shredded Wheat and keep mixing until it’s well covered.
Spoon the mixture evenly across the 12 cake cases. Make a dent in the middle of the nest and press three eggs into it whilst it’s still wet. Put the tray in the fridge for a few hours or ideally overnight to set.
