Meet Surfer, Coach & Model: Lucie Rose Donlan

Luce rose Donlan - Little's coffee flavour enthusiast

We are super pleased to welcome Lucie Rose Donlan on board the Flavour Enthusiasts team! Lucie is an 18 year old surfer, model and surf instructor based down in Cornwall. She is a Wave Project ambassador, assists with the judging of the UK Pro Surf Tour and is an ISA Level 1 Surf Judge with Surfing GB. Needless to say she has her fingers in lots of pies and she is kept very busy at photoshoots, teaching young kids how to surf and spreading the word for the brands she works for. It goes without saying that she’s going to need something to get her through the day, and it turns out our flavoures coffee is just the thing to keep her alert and energised in her busy schedule.

To introduce her in the best way possible, we did a little Q&A with Lucie. Here’s how it went:

Little’s:
Lucie, it’s great to have you on board as a Flavour Enthusiast! You’re a big coffee drinker, can you tell us why?

Lucie:
Hey! Thank you so much for having me on board and I’m so excited to have Little’s in my life and can’t wait to try all the different flavours! Yes, I have always been a big coffee drinker as I am not the greatest at getting up in the mornings and a good cup of coffee normally wakes me up and makes me human again!

Little’s:

How do you use coffee in your surfing life?

Lucie:
For me, coffee and surfing go hand in hand. It’s good to feel warm and alert before you surf and I find that coffee is the only thing that can give you that certain buzz. I once read somewhere that a cup of black coffee before exercise can really help with your performance and help burn extra calories and that’s a great incentive to try right? 🙂

Little’s:
Many of our customers use our coffee to curb sweet cravings during weight loss. Do you have any tips?

Lucie:
I normally get my “sweet” cravings in the evenings, especially after a meal. It’s so easy to reach for a bar of chocolate, a couple of biscuits or anything that will give you a quick fix. I found that a mug of Little’s Swiss Chocolate or French Vanilla flavoured coffee takes the edge off any cravings and satisfies my sweet tooth. It’s great to know that you are only consuming 4 calories instead of around 200! It might sound slightly crazy, but I find it really helps to smell the coffee aroma while I am waiting for the kettle to boil – it takes your mind off the biscuit tin!

Little’s:
What is it about the Little’s brand that made you keen to get involved?

Lucie:
I love that the Little’s brand has a very warm, friendly feel about it and that it’s a family run business based in the South West. When I first clicked on the website, I was really interested to read how the brand had started and has now progressed into something really unique within the coffee market, and as well as being able to buy online it’s also available in some of the bigger supermarkets and health food retail outlets.

Little’s:
…and what about the product?

Lucie:
The best thing about the product is that Little’s combine the finest Arabica coffee with some amazing flavours to bring so many different varieties of taste to coffee. You can have your own “flavoured coffee library”! There are so many different flavours to try and I love the little combination gift boxes with the cute little mug!! I never thought that I would enjoy a coffee flavoured with Spicy Cardamom or Maple Walnut, but every time I drink them it makes me smile! It’s a great talking point too and has given a whole new meaning to inviting your friends over for coffee – instead of coffee mornings you can now have coffee “tasting” mornings – love it!!

Little’s:
Thanks so much for your time Lucie, we look forward to seeing what adventures you take your Little’s coffee on and how it helps you in your fit and healthy lifestyle.
