Boozy eggnog latte recipe

If you’re anything like us, eggnog is basically a fictional creation of Hallmark Christmas movies. What is this magical creamy drink they guzzle all December long? We decided to get our hands on some (via our pals at Ocado) and give it a try.

To get the ultimate festive eggnog experience we added booze and coffee to make the most moreish, boozy eggnog “latte”. One sip and you’ll feel like you’re moving back to your hometown from the big city to sell the Christmas tree farm you inherited from your long-lost aunt. Featuring the handsome farm hand, ofc.

Makes: one cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 50ml eggnog
  • 50ml Bailey’s Irish Cream
  • 50ml strong coffee – we used a Little’s vanilla Nespresso-compatible pod but strong instant coffee would work well, too
  • 25ml oat milk
  • Cocoa powder to garnish

Method:

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with plenty of ice. Give it a good shake until the shaker is almost too cold to touch. Strain into a coupe or Martini glass and sprinkle on some cocoa powder. Sip and enjoy!

Christmas Spirit espresso martini

Espresso martinis are one of our favourite cocktails (for obvious reasons!). They’re perfect for a little after-dinner pick-me-up or for celebrations with friends.

For the Christmas period, we wanted to reimagine this classic cocktail and make it so good it’ll be your new go-to drink for sipping in front of the fire or at the work Christmas party!

To make our espresso martinis extra festive, we swapped out Kahlúa for creamy Bailey’s and switched regular espresso for our Christmas Spirit flavoured instant coffee. All we can really say is, you’re welcome.

Makes: one cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 50ml freshly brewed and chilled Christmas Spirit coffee
  • 50ml vodka
  • 25ml Bailey’s Irish Cream

Method:

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Give it a good shake until the shaker is almost too cold to touch. Strain into a coupe or Martini glass and decorate with a slice of dried orange or some cinnamon to match the flavour notes of the coffee.
